This piece was custom-made and shipped to New Mexico!
It's a golf tee mandala made on 1940s pine roof decking that I treated with a coat of steel wool and vinegar stain. The frame is 1920s yellow pine lath.
The center portion of this piece is made up of a pulley and a rusty mason jar ring found in a barn on the Confluence site on the Eno River. A 1968 U.S. Penny sits in the middle, and the golf tees are ones I collected on courses in NC while playing.
This is one in a batch of four of these tee mandalas that I made together, and was purchased on Etsy by a woman in New Mexico as a gift for her brother.
